    Greetings:

Just a reminder that the 2015 NRS Management Workshop will take place at the Sierra Nevada Aquatic Research Laboratory October 6-9, 2015. Housing will be available in the small houses at SNARL (7 bedrooms), the dormitory at SNARL (5 rooms), the cabins at Valentine (5 rooms) and offsite. Of course there is plenty of room for trailers, motorhomes, and tents.
Right now I need to get a feel for the demand for offsite housing so I can reserve space early. One of the closest places is the McGee Creek Lodge (http://www.mcgeecreek.com/). The rooms are quite nice and they will give me a favorable rate.
The other potential location is the Convict Lake Resort (http://www.convictlake.com/cabins/rentals.html). They have all manner of luxury cabins including “lodges” that sleep up to 35. Their rates are high and I don’t imagine the discounts will be deep but I am happy to try.
So, if you are planning on attending the workshop and we hope you are, and if you prefer to stay offsite, and if either of these options is attractive to you, please shoot me an email so I can pursue reserving a block of rooms or a cabin. If you are planning on staying onsite there is no need to respond unless you have suggestions for discussion topics, field trips, or other details. If you plan to stay offsite but want to make your own arrangements no need to respond.
BTW, the party theme is “high school prom” so please dust off your tuxes and formals. Also, we are planning for the party to be Wednesday night October 7 so more people are able to attend. It should also put the business on the 8th in better perspective.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you.
