Advanced environmental sensor network at UC Berkeley nature reserve, UC Berkeley
Blue Oak Ranch Reserve features a state-of-the-art wireless environmental sensing network. Scattered across the 3,280-acre reserve, each of the network nodes measures temperature, rain, sunshine, soil moisture and more, and sends it back to the campus to be processed and analyzed. The information is utilized by reserve researchers studying how climate conditions affect plants, animals, and their life cycles.UC Berkeley to Manage Blue Oak Ranch Reserve, UC Berkeley
