Thanks to a major renovation project, Blue Oak Ranch Reserve now offers space for more than 50 overnight visitors, a classroom, meeting space, solar system, and commercial kitchen facilities, all operating entirely off the grid.

Blue Oak Ranch Reserve features a state-of-the-art wireless environmental sensing network. Scattered across the 3,280-acre reserve, each of the network nodes measures temperature, rain, sunshine, soil moisture and more, and sends it back to the campus to be processed and analyzed. The information is utilized by reserve researchers studying how climate conditions affect plants, animals, and their life cycles.
