NRS joins Tahoe partnership
Sierra forests are overcrowded, disease-ridden, and prone to catastrophic fire. To address this ticking time bomb, the Natural Reserve System and its Sagehen Creek Field Station have joined the Tahoe Central-Sierra Initiative. A consortium of government agencies, conservation groups, and other stakeholders, the partnership will prioritize restoration efforts and leverage funding to bring Tahoe-area forests back into balance.
