About the Symposium
The protected lands of the UC Natural Reserve System have fostered environmental discovery for more than 50 years. The first-ever UC Natural Reserve System Symposium celebrates that legacy. Researchers will discuss how NRS reserves has been crucial to advancing knowledge of natural world. Educators will describe how immersing students outdoors can spark a lifetime of interest in the environment. And students will describe how the NRS serves as a premier training ground for tomorrow’s scientists. Weekend field trips to reserves let attendees experience how the NRS delivers nature’s inspiration to all. The NRS Symposium will be held at the David Brower Center in Berkeley Nov. 12-13, 2020.
